Job Profile

As a DTH Set-top Box Installer & Technician, you will have to install set-top-boxes and cable television connections according to clients requirements. You need to analyze and resolve problems during rains or whenever the cable connections fail. You will be coordinating with the technical team of DTH or Cable TV service providers to activate the new connections according to customer’s requests as well as solve customers’ problems.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

As a DTH Set-top Box Installer & Technician, you will be engaged with one or more of the following roles and responsibilities: -

  • Installing, maintaining or repairingDTH Set-top Box, broadcast equipment or related equipment, according to blueprints of building plans, electrical plans,and layouts.
  • Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans or manuals to determine the kind of materials required for the installation.
  • Aligning antennae and receiving dishes for obtaining the clearest signals for perfect transmissions.
  • Attaching electrical wiring to connect DTH Set-top Box components.
  • Adjusting the equipment as required to maintain good quality broadcasts.
  • Drilling holes for wiring and passing cables through roof spaces, access holes or cavity walls to connect DTH Set-top Boxes.
  • Examining systems for locating problems like short circuits or loose connections.
  • Demonstrating the use and benefits of DTH Set-top Box systems to customers and explaining the details to them.
